The Bellringers
We have 8 bells, which are rung from the ground floor. On practice nights we usually have about 12 local ringers but are often joined by ringers from nearby towers. The ringers range in age from teenagers to 60+, male and female. We always welcome newcomers whether they can already ring, want to start or are just curious. Although ringing practice stops at 9.00 pm, we adjourn to the pub afterwards, since bellringing is thirsty work. Other activities include the annual outing when we join with ringers from local towers on a trip to church towers in other counties.
