The tower clock was made by Rippon of Sheffield in 1868. A plaque on the tower records:
The clock was placed in this church tower as a memorial
of Catherine Temple Pears by the many friends of all
classes to whom she was dear.

Catherine Temple Pears was the wife of Steuart Adolphus Pears, Headmaster of Repton School from 1854 to 1874.
