Sergeant C.W. Kelsey-Wilkinson
CW Kelsey-Wilkinson: Headstone Cecil William Kelsey-Wilkinson came from the London area, but had possibly trained locally and was married to Rosamund Adams, whose family owned Repton Post Office.   She was a descendant of Rev'd Pattinson, vicar of Repton from 1804 - 1843.

Muriel Reyland writes:   "I spent much time with the Adams family (in Repton) and was particularly friendly with Rosamund, the wife of Bill Kelsey-Wilkinson.   They were only married for four months when he crashed and died about three weeks later.   He trained as a glider pilot and was flying a glider with a full complement of parachutists.   He apparently saved the men, but he himself took the full force and died in Boscombe Hospital.

"I went with Ros to the hospital from Repton, and will always remember the journey by rail from Derby, leaving at 11 pm and arriving at the hospital at about 3 the following afternoon - it was a nightmare."
