8th May 1942. Cpl William John Scudamore, glider pilot (army), flying Magister P6447, collided with Magister P6373 over Hilton, a few miles west of Repton. He baled out too low and fell near the Salt Box. F/Sgt Grasser in the second Magister is believed to have landed, damaged, at Ashbourne airfield. |
